AI at Work: Get Ahead, Stay Ahead
A practical AI training course helping professionals map workflows, identify operational friction, and apply AI to improve research, analysis, documentation, and decision-making.
A practical AI training course helping professionals map workflows, identify operational friction, and apply AI to improve research, analysis, documentation, and decision-making.
Individual
Course Introduction
This training provides a practical approach to using artificial intelligence to improve how work gets done. Participants will learn how to identify operational friction, map existing workflows, and determine where AI can augment human capability, automate repetitive work, simplify processes, and improve decision-making.
The course uses practical business examples and hands-on exercises to demonstrate how AI can support research, analysis, meetings, documentation, knowledge management, communication, process improvement, and other forms of everyday knowledge work. Participants will move beyond one-off AI tasks to explore how AI can be integrated into repeatable, effective, and responsible ways of working.
Why Should You Attend?
Organizations are rapidly adopting AI, but access to AI tools does not automatically translate into greater productivity or better operations. Without rethinking the underlying process, AI can simply make inefficient work happen faster.
This course helps participants identify where AI can create meaningful operational value, redesign workflows around AI capabilities, and determine where human judgment and oversight remain essential. Participants will leave with practical frameworks they can apply to their own work and a clear approach for moving from AI experimentation to measurable operational improvement.
Educational Approach
● Plain-language explanations of AI-enabled operational excellence and workflow redesign.
● Practical exercises for mapping workflows and identifying operational friction.
● Hands-on application of AI to research, analysis, meetings, documentation, communication, and decision support.
● Practical frameworks for determining which activities should remain human-led, be AI-augmented, automated, simplified, or eliminated.
● Live demonstrations of AI-enabled workflows and interactive exercises using real business scenarios.
● Guided development of an AI-enabled workflow and practical implementation plan.
Prerequisites
No prior technical, AI, or programming experience is required. A general understanding of business processes and everyday workplace tools will be helpful.
Course Agenda
● Session 1: AI & Operational Excellence — Understanding how AI can improve the way work gets done and where it creates meaningful business value.
● Session 2: Finding the Friction — Mapping workflows to identify bottlenecks, repetitive tasks, unnecessary handoffs, and opportunities for improvement.
● Session 3: Identifying the Right AI Opportunities — Determining what should remain human-led, be augmented with AI, automated, simplified, or eliminated.
● Session 4: Building Better AI-Enabled Workflows — Using practical frameworks and generative AI to improve research, analysis, communication, documentation, decision support, and everyday processes.
● Session 5: From Individual Use to Operational Excellence — Building repeatable AI practices, team standards, human oversight, and responsible ways of working.
● Session 6: From Opportunity to Implementation — Redesigning a real workflow, defining measures of success, and developing a practical 30-day implementation plan.
